TESTIMONIALS

“Firstly, it was a professionally excellent teaching & learning experience with a reflective group. What I was also blown away by was the generosity of spirit & knowledge that UC brought to her teaching.I was moved & profoundly grateful to learn from her about the history of & current status of systemic & institutionalized racism in the US. And also to cast my thoughts wider to revisit the impact of colonialism around the world. The decades of consequences, injustice & inequity.” – Emma Stokes, PhD, President, World Physiotherapy, Head of Department of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Science, Qatar University.

This course more than met my expectations! UC fostered lots of thought-provoking discussions that helped deepen my understanding of each point. UC was warm and invitational as a trainer while still challenging participants to grow further. The resource lists provided were more extensive than any I’ve received for a course previously. I would encourage pretty much everyone I know to take a YouSeeLogic course!

UC’s warmth, positive energy and ability to hold space for the questions of the attendees was a pillar in the provision of a safe space for us to ask questions and participate in discussion of a heavy, yet so important, subject matter. She met every question and comment with openness and shared personal experiences to give us context on what the struggle is like to be a brilliant, educated black woman in her field and how we as allies can begin to flex our anti-racism muscles.

This course was one of the best I have had on anti-racism work for healthcare providers. It left me curious, engaged, excited and hopeful for change not only within myself but within our communities. UC created an environment that engaged critical thinking and critical discussion amongst the attendees. This course is a MUST for physical therapists and should be required learning for everyone in healthcare, fitness and wellness spaces.

Highly recommend taking Dr. Ossai’s course on Intersections of Racism and Power! Learn how racism is embedded in our everyday actions and experiences in healthcare. I took home so many lessons that will directly and immediately impact the way I practice as a physiotherapist going forward!

This is an essential, unique and timely course for all involved in the delivery and provision of health and care. The content is powerful, and challenging with historical and scientific considerations. Uchenna is a remarkable teacher and invites delegates to learn, reflect and evolve. I fully recommend this course.”
