“I’m dating a new guy who is a transgender man and is struggling with gender dysphoria. What can I do to make him more comfortable in the bedroom?”

It’s Bourbon Talez time! [Insert happy dance shimmy here]. I absolutely love tonight’s question because we all need to get a lot comfortable talking about sex in allll contexts. “I’m dating a new guy who is a transgender man and is struggling with gender dysphoria. What can I do to make him more comfortable info the bedroom.” Here is what I’m NOT going to do: 1) I’m not going to ask my friends who are trans to educate the masses. If you want to chime in, please feel supa dupa free to do so. Otherwise, thank you for being you. 2) Pretend that I know what it is like to be trans. This is an experience that I will never fully know, but I will always do my part to call bullshit on complicit and overt nonsense that threatens the safety and sexytime pleasure of my friends who are trans. Ya dig? Cool. Here are some helpful definitions: Gender dysphoria: According to the American Psychological Association and DSM V, “when an individual is distressed about a conflict between their sex assigned at birth and their gender identity/role. ” Cisgender: According to The Fenway Istitute of Health, “People whose gender identity and gender expression align with their assigned sex at birth”. #ilovesunday #transhealth #staywoke #sexualhealth #sexeducation #educationispower #keepingitreal #pelvicpt #instatruth #instagood #bourbontalez #youseelogic
